As a full-time traveling educational fitness business, we pride ourselves on our highly skilled team of educators and are looking for individuals who can complement their expertise.
We are seeking candidates who possess the skills to effectively lead, support, and facilitate a seamless and meaningful learning experience for students. Additionally, the candidates should be able to engage students through the implementation of BringtheHoopla’s curriculum.
Who we are: At BringtheHoopla, we offer top-notch fitness and educational programming for children of all ages. Our approach involves the use of hoops for play, exercise, and learning, and our curriculum is carefully designed to align with both state and national standards. We believe in promoting physical literacy and developmentally appropriate programming, which is why we utilize our custom-designed weighted hula hoops to provide top-quality programming. Our focus is on building teamwork skills, promoting positive self-image, and encouraging self-expression through physical fitness and movement, all while engaging in group discussions and conversation.
Roles: Lead Teacher, Co-Teacher, and/or Floater,
Availability During the School year (Sept-May):
Flexible. Monday-Friday and some Saturday availability
Summer (June-August):
Flexible. Weekday and some Weekend availability is preferred.
Pay range: $25-35 per hour (min. 1.5-hour programs)
Location: Fairfield areas, Hartford areas, New Britain areas, Westchester NY, and more.
Ideal Candidates May Have:
Experience in classroom teaching and/or working with children
Bachelors in Early Childhood and/or Physical Fitness/Recreation/Events
A passion for (hula) hooping or a desire to learn
Ideal Candidates Must Have:
Valid driver’s license & dependable car
A welcoming and inclusive mindset
Commitment to growing a small, women-owned, and led business.
Responsibilities
Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and engage students for the duration of the program
Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning
Create a positive and welcoming learning environment
Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences, etc.
